The Concept

The original conceptual design came from a music video we shot in our studio space. We wanted a big hot wall of PARs for an old-school feel. When Tom saw this in person, he wanted this to be the inspiration for the live shows. Jeff Pereira, the band’s Production Manager, came up with a stealth B-52 bomber aesthetic for the staging.

We then got to work creating a show that was big, bright and with a retro futuristic vibe.

The Programming

It all starts with the music. It is so important to listen to the songs, and really dive into the mindset of the artist, the music and the message.

The process was simple. After receiving the songs, we would program a first draft. Then, together with Tom, we would iron of the cues and make the necessary changes until the show was perfect.

For AVA, it is all about creating a show with dynamics, the big and bold moments paired with subtle visual accents.
